Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
This policy covers the PuckRecord website (puckrecord.com) and the PuckRecord app for iPhone and iPad (together, “PuckRecord”). PuckRecord is run by an individual developer. Questions or requests: info@jhobbie.com.
The short version: you can use all of PuckRecord without an account. We collect only what’s needed to run the features you choose. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising tracking.
What we collect
- Account (optional, app only). If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an account identifier. It may also give us your email address and name. Your email may be a private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email.” We use this only to keep your account and subscription.
- Subscription (app only). If you subscribe to PuckRecord Pro, Apple processes the payment. We never see your card details. We receive the subscription status, product, purchase and expiry dates, and store, so we can unlock Pro on your account.
- Goal alerts (app only). If you turn on goal alerts, we store your device’s push notification token and the games you follow. We use them only to send the alerts you asked for. This doesn’t require an account.
- Website analytics. The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate: pages, referrers, country and device type. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you across sites.
- Technical logs. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for a short time to run and secure the service.
We don’t collect your location, contacts, photos or any health or financial information.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run PuckRecord. They process data on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and server functions.
- RevenueCat: manages subscriptions. It receives your account identifier, the email on your account if you have one, and your purchase history.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store payments and push notification delivery.
- Expo: delivers push notifications to your device.
- Vercel: hosts the website and runs its analytics.
Shopping links. PuckRecord shows links to Fanatics. These go through Impact, an affiliate network. If you click one, Fanatics and Impact may set cookies and record the click and any purchase so we can earn a commission. That’s covered by their privacy policies. The website also loads a small Impact image to count how often these links are shown.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect PuckRecord or its users. We don’t sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
- Account and subscription records: until you delete your account.
- Push tokens and followed games: until you turn off alerts or the token stops working.
- Analytics and logs: kept for the providers’ standard retention periods.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app, go to More › Account › Delete account. This removes your account and its subscription records from our database. It doesn’t cancel an Apple subscription; do that in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
- Turn off goal alerts: per game in the app, or for all games in iOS Settings › Notifications.
- Get a copy, correct or delete your data: email info@jhobbie.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your data and to object to processing. We’ll honor these requests wherever you live.
Children
PuckRecord isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security and where data is stored
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to it is restricted. Our providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so in the app or on the website.
